Eliana Harvey
Founder of Shamanka
Eliana is known as a gifted Shamanka, Medicine Woman and Healer. She is considered to be the leading teacher of women’s Shamanism and the recovering of the Feminine Principle. She founded her training school twenty years ago, beginning with the Mystical Journey and followed by the Wise Woman workshops for six years. The Shamanka School of Women’s Shamanism was established ten years ago.
Eliana has a Celtic inheritance, she was steeped in Celtic lore from childhood. Her father was a noted pioneer of osteopathy in the UK, and was also a medical ‘psychic’, her mother was a healer and early Bach Flower practitioner.
The personal quest for Eliana began with Yoga which she has practiced and taught all her adult life. Apart from her original training in Acupressure and Chinese Medicine, she is also an initiate of the Western Sufi Healing Order with Hazrat Inayat Khan. However thirty years ago the Shamanic Path then became her major quest, beginning with Harley Swiftdeer of the Deer Tribe. Brooke Medicine Eagle, the Crow Blackfoot Medicine Woman, gave her permission to pass on some of her ceremonies. Her other significant teachers have been Arwen Dreamwalker, Victor Sanchez from the Toltec tradition, Marilyn Tunneshende, from the Castaneda and curendera path, and O’Shinnah the Cherokee crystal healing medicine woman. Eliana was honoured by John Twobirds, a Native Elder medicine man, who initiated her as a ceremonial pipe carrier and sweat lodge leader.
More recently Eliana has explored the Inka Traditions where she found a number of teachers including Inti Cesar Malasquz and Dr Alberto Villoldo of the Four Winds Society. She has found this Andean cosmology to be a deeply feminine way of life and spirit.

Sue Corben
I am an experienced and fully qualified Shamanic and complementary practitioner, living in Dorset, where, as well as running my own practice I am also a member of Middle Piccadilly’s team of practitioner’s and a senior tutor on the Luminous Warrior course and Introductory weekends.
After working for many years as a very successful Senior IT Account Executive for an international Management Consultants I realised that something was missing from my life, and changed direction completely when I trained as an holistic practitioner. I have never regretted it. I am grateful for the experiences I gained working within an often political, male oriented corporate environment, they are as valuable to me now as my other life experiences both good and bad - all of my experiences enable me to offer clients, both male and female, non- judgemental understanding, empathy, guidance and treatment for a myriad of problems.
The pinnacle of my life to date however has to be meeting, and subsequently training and working with, Eliana Harvey. I attended the introductory workshop ‘The Way of Shamanka’ and it quite literally changed my life. I went on to complete the two-year Shamanka course and other workshops and can now honestly say that I have become the woman I always knew I could be – balanced and whole.
The Shamanka training has not just given me the Shamanic teachings and amazing techniques, which have become the ‘string bag’ that I had always searched for to bring together, and enhance, the other more ‘traditional’ skills I use, but equally importantly, has enabled me to find my true self. During the courses I have worked through, and cleared, so many traumatic experiences that were stifling me as a woman and also changed repetitive and negative patterns that were frankly ruining my life.
I have a particular affinity with, and knowledge of, the crystal kingdom. I am dedicated to sharing this knowledge as crystals offer themselves as major healers and teachers for us in the 21st century.
I would highly recommend Shamanka courses and workshops to women of any age whether you wish to become a shamanic healer, explore shamanic lineages and regain the wisdom of women that is so sadly missing in our modern culture, or explore who you really are and along the way heal any negative issues that no longer serve you. |
